A Salute to the People who help Mumbai be Mumbai.

1.       Our helpers/Maids – some of us may be having maids, some of us do not. But those who do have would be very dependent on them. They take care of our home, our daily chores are taken care of, and they share a shoulder with us for this responsibility. But, however, all the maids and helpers are not trustworthy. Before appointing a maid, their background check should be done and all the necessary documents should be submitted to the nearest police station for their verification.

2.       Post-man/Milk-man/Newspaper Boy/Delivery Boy – although it is their profession, we would like to thank them for being there and making our lives easy.

        

3.       The Lift man – though he does not play a direct role as our helper, yet, he is to be thanked for sometimes bearing with our changing mood swings. For remembering every  residents/employee’s floor number and for sincerely wishing us “Good Morning Madam/Sir”.

4.       All the bus/train/taxi/rickshaw drivers- Yes!! Sometimes we have to listen to their blunt rudeness, but yet they take out the easiest and fastest routes for us to reach our destinations. The bus drivers for stopping the bus anywhere on the roadside on seeing a “STOP” gesture made by us. The train drivers for taking off late, so that we get into the trains and get to our places on time  

5.       The traffic Police – we thank You for diverting the traffic on some not-so-busy roads, for allowing us to pass our vehicles (rarely) when the signal is off…(that is because they are busy having chai or paan).

6.       The Mumbai Police – We thank You for protecting us and our families, and taking the death themselves so that we live in peace. Thank You for being there always.

7.       The Dabbawalas – The Mama’s and Kaka’s of so many of us, we thank them for delivering our lunch to us punctually, every day.

8.       The Office boys – they are always there to help us out, whether be it ordering lunch, getting it from the restaurants, filling water bottles, getting copies done, doing everything for us as if it is their only duty. They make our professional lives easier in a way which only they can do.

9.       The Business Men/ Women/Entrepreneurs – they have a big role to play in the lives of every citizen. Because of their innovative solutions to the problems of household, business, Government, our work gets done easily. These people create jobs in the market and provide employment to people from all professions. They bring in investments and take Mumbai to a higher level of Growth.

    

10.   Investors – Thanking them for bringing in huge investments and taking Mumbai to new heights through their fund investments in private and public business, stock market, new start-ups being the venture capitalists and the list goes on.

         

11.   Government – for helping Mumbai excel in all areas by proposing new development plans, accepting them, and fulfilling them.

12.   Bollywood – Thank you for choosing Mumbai as the hot spot for entertainment. We are grateful to you’ll for entertaining us throughout, in our stressful lives. ( and also for providing enough gossips)

We are very grateful to all of you all. Thank You for being there in our lives and making it easy for us to live happily.
